Prototype 1

P1 is now ready for the archives. It's the first pair that I produced, and the first to be subjected to real-world testing. Performed like a champ. Nothing like a technical theater class to test the fit and finish of my shoes. Power tools, paint, students running about...only slight scuffs and creasing where the toes articulate. This brings up an important point: THESE ARE SHOES. If you choose to wear VANDAL X art on your feet, they will undergo a process called "breaking in."

A perfectly pristine pair of shoes/boots is what you'll receive upon completion of your order. They will be shiny, new-car feeling, ready to take on the world without hesitation, works of art. I understand your hesitation about lacing (or buckling) them up for the first time and heading out the door. What evil lurks just outside the threshold? Who will be the first to scuff, mar, or otherwise soil my one-of-a-kind kicks? The answer is quite simple: it doesn't matter. Whether you've purchased these as a special occasion only accessory or an everyday kick around, one thing is certain–they will eventually show some wear.

Embrace the scuffs and creases. This is life, and for every scratch there comes a story of where you've been and where you're going. Those who wrap themselves in plastic and need perfection at all times will not have happy feet. Or minds for that matter. Live it. Get out and get dirty.
